Introduction
LUCIA Vitrinite is an application for a measurement of the coal random reflectance, maceral analysis and minimal/maximal reflectance. System can perform fully automated measurement and can store the measured data in a database. Reports can be generated and stored in a database. System cooperates with PRIOR Scientific and Märzhäuser Wetzlar scanning stages.
Main Features:
- Full camera control, shading correction possibility.
- Cooperation with a scanning stage. Autofocus, splines sample roughness compensation.
- Automated maceral analysis, possibility to mmanually decide the unresolved cases.
- Customized report generation. All measured data are stored in the database. Possibility to browse and search the database.
Vitrinite and maceral detection
LUCIA Vitrinite enables you to calibrate the vitrinite reflectance according to the following standards: Dark, Spinel, Leuco Saphir, YAG, GGG, Cubic Zirkonia and Diamond.
Maceral analysis supports automated detection of following phases: Background, Liptinite, Vitrinite, Inertinite, Mi+Ma+Sc, Fu+Sf and Minerals.
Automated sample scan is done according to the setting. Sample size, number of fields, measurement method, focus method, Auto/Manual operation, ... can be selected.
Manual maceral analysis correction can be done on unresolved images.
Reports and databases
Customized user reports and databases were created for our customers. Database contains date, time, operator, description, sample number, maceral analysis results, type analysis data, sample data, and vitrinite reflectance histogram. All measured samples are archived in the database. It is possible to search the samples by their sample number or analysis date.
